AGI Exploration
Autonomous reasoning, adaptive learning systems, long-term memory architectures and multi-agent intelligence coordination.
AGI exploration is our long-term research direction. We study how AI systems can plan, reason over many steps, remember what they learn and coordinate with other agents. It is a direction for research, not a claim that general intelligence exists today, and every result is tested against real, governed enterprise work.
Why it matters
Organizations increasingly want AI that can take a goal, not just a question. Studying how systems plan, remember and coordinate prepares BrainShift for that future while keeping every step governed, explainable and approved by people.
Questions we are working on
How can AI break a broad objective into a plan it can actually carry out?
What kind of memory lets agents improve over time without drifting from their rules?
How should many specialized agents share information and divide work?
Where must humans stay in the loop as systems become more autonomous?
Focus areas
Autonomous reasoning
Multi-step planning, self-checking and reflection techniques for complex objectives.
Adaptive learning
Systems that improve from feedback and outcomes while staying within approved boundaries.
Long-term memory
Memory architectures that let agents keep and recall relevant knowledge across tasks.
Multi-agent coordination
Protocols for roles, hand-offs and shared state among cooperating agents.
Objective-driven systems
Turning a stated goal into coordinated research, analysis, planning, execution and review.
Human oversight
Approval points, explanations and controls that keep people responsible for outcomes.
Our research approach
01
Start from real objectives
Use genuine enterprise goals such as reports, preparations and investigations as test cases.
02
Decompose into roles
Split work across specialized research, analysis, planning, execution and review agents.
03
Add memory carefully
Give agents structured memory with clear limits on what they keep and why.
04
Keep humans accountable
Insert approval points and full traces so people can review and correct outcomes.
What it delivers
Objective-driven work
Broad goals turned into coordinated, trackable tasks.
Better multi-step reasoning
Plans that adapt as new information arrives.
Reusable knowledge
Agents that learn from previous tasks within approved boundaries.
Governed autonomy
More independence for AI, with oversight kept in place.
